HP Recommended
No microphones shows up in windows apps
Go to Control Panel then (go to search and next to start button, Type control panel hit enter)
Click on Sound Icon
Click on Recording tab
Right click under where it says external microphone...
Click next to show Disabled devices
Now you should see Microphone Array
Right click on it select enable

Please perform a clean install Audio software/driver, this should help.
(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp132501-133000/sp132849.exe
(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.
