After an update, now there is no sound, with the error being "No Audio Output Device is installed" when hovering the mouse on the speaker icon on the taskbar.  I have tried using the HP Troubleshooter and every suggested solution listed while searching through the HP support site, windows support and the top 20 lists of multiple searches online over the 12 hours.  NONE have worked.  I tried using Windows Restore multiple times, too, but each time a message popped up that it could not complete the restore.  So, I do not know what to do.  I cannot believe that while this problem appears to be so common, none of the "solutions" have worked i

 

In Device Manager, the only error symbol is a yellow triangle on the icon in one line within the "System Devices" - Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED

 

Does anyone know how to fix this?  Thank you in advance for your help.
