My laptop HP Pavillion Plus 14 (Windows 11 25H2) suddenly couldn't find any output device. Done all the window updates and try updating driver before but none of them work. In device manager, there is 2 "Intel High Definition Audio" with Code 28 and yellow exclamation mark. I tried install official driver from HP but not working too. But this issue only for the laptop sound, for earbuds it works normally. Help pls

Hi @MuM9194
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query.
I understand that your HP Pavilion Plus 14 running Windows 11 is displaying the message "No output device found" for the built-in speakers. Since your earbuds function normally and Device Manager shows two Intel High Definition Audio devices with a Code 28 error and a yellow exclamation mark, the issue appears to be related to the internal audio driver installation. A Code 28 error indicates that Windows has detected the audio hardware but is unable to use it because the required driver is either missing, corrupted, or not installed correctly.
Please follow the steps below:
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics for Audio
- Turn off the laptop.
- Turn it back on and repeatedly press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
- Select Component Tests > Audio and run the test.
- Note any Failure ID displayed.
Uninstall the audio devices
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand System devices and Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click each Intel High Definition Audio device showing Code 28 and select Uninstall device.
- If prompted, check "Attempt to remove the driver for this device."
- Restart the computer.
Install the chipset driver first
- Download and install the latest Intel Chipset Driver available for your HP Pavilion Plus 14 from the HP support website for your specific model.
- Restart the system after installation.
Reinstall the audio driver
- Download and install the latest Realtek Audio Driver (or the audio driver listed for your exact model) from the HP support website.
- Restart the computer once the installation is complete.
Check for optional Windows updates
- Go to Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates.
- Install any available driver updates related to Intel or audio components.
Restart the Windows Audio services
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Locate Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder.
- Ensure both services are Running and set to Automatic.
- Restart the services if necessary.
Take care and have an amazing day!
