I have an HP455 G3 laptop and all of a sudden I lost sound playback on my laptop. I have tried all of the suggestions. Please help me to regain sound on my laptop.

I have exactly the same question for my 455 G3 HP ProBook.

No sound from built in speakers.

3.5 mm jack out  also has no audio.

Have tired 'everything' - drivers are OK.

And WMP and VLC players are OK.

BUT: Can hear audio via the HDMI output socket (e.g. when connected to a TV).

Doesn't look like there is a separate piece of harware (conexant) that can be physically replaced either...

Any  description of the problem behind (and a solution) would be very much appreciated.
