HP Spectre x360 - 13t-ap000 CTO
Microsoft Windows 11

I just replaced the motherboard of my HP Spectre X360, 2 in 1, model 13t-ap000.  Everything went well except the audio.  In the task bar on the bottom right corner, the speaker icon has an "x" symbol and the message is "No audio device is installed".  I already tried every tricks out there in the internet posting nothing is working.  I tried to test the speaker through the UEFI BIOS testing and there is a sound, it is normal.  But after booting Windows 11, the speaker doesn't work at all.  I read some posting in the internet that said it is related to the "Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED".  And that is right, there is a yellow exclamation mark for that item in the device manager.  I already tried to remove and Windows automatically installed again.  I already tried to update, but nothing works, the yellow exclamation symbol is still there.  Please help give me advice, thanks.

Good morning, have a happy day!

I hope this is the tutorial I'm looking for here can help you.

Just go straight to the Microsoft Update Catalog where I have filled in the search for here . Pick the file that corresponds to your current Windows OS version.

The steps:

1. Extract the .cab file and delete all .inf extension files except the .inf file with the name:

IntcOED.inf

2. Via Device Manager, click the add drivers icon, then navigate to the extracted .cab file folder which only contains an .inf file with that name.

As an alternative to installing .inf, you can also use this . Click the Add Driver button and don't forget to check Install Driver.

3. Check in device manager whether the driver is installed.

Hope this helps and have a happy day.
