I have been trying for a few hours to connect my laptop to my computer via HDMI. The picture plays through the TV no problem but no sound is coming through my TV, it is only playing through my laptop. I have ran all the sound troubleshooting but no luck. When I click 'choose your output device', there is no option for my TV on the drop down, as if it isn't even connected. I have tried a few HDMI cables so I know they are not the problem.

Please help.

Please try from your computer

(a) Right click Speaker icon,

(b) Select Open Sound settings,

(c) Choose HDMI sound from output device,

Regards.

Hi,

Thanks for this but I have tried this. Been through all the troubleshooting with no luck, even tried removing and reinstalling drivers. The TV does not even show as an option for sound even though the picture is on the TV.

Still not working.
