Hi @Fredrik7,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps.

  • Check the volume settings: Ensure that the volume on your computer is not muted or set to a very low level. Look for the speaker icon in the system tray (usually located at the bottom-right corner of the screen) and right-click on it to access the volume controls.
  • Update audio drivers: Outdated or incompatible audio drivers can cause sound-related issues. Visit HP Website, locate the support section, and download the latest audio drivers for your specific model. Install the drivers and restart your computer.
  • Check audio settings: Open the sound settings on your operating system and make sure the correct playback device is selected. Additionally, check the sound mixer to ensure that the volume levels are properly adjusted for different applications or devices.
  • Test with different speakers or headphones: If you're using external speakers or headphones, try connecting them to another device to see if they work properly. This will help determine if the issue lies with the audio output device.
  • Restart audio services: Sometimes, restarting the audio services can resolve sound-related problems. Open the "Services" application on your computer (you can search for it in the Start menu), locate the "Windows Audio" service, right-click on it, and select "Restart."
  • Perform a system update: Make sure your operating system is up to date with the latest patches and updates. Sometimes, system updates can include bug fixes for sound-related issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
