Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently bought an OMEN 15 and my speakers (Bang & Olufsen) are working intermittently.  Specifically the left hand speaker going in and out. with no real idea what triggers it to go out or to start working again.  Audio through Headphones is clear and working though.

any Idea on what needs to be done?  i.e: driver re install?

Thanks

@RodCurran

That is a common problem after Windows 10 updates, that means you may get this problem again next month or sometimes in future.

Doing a clean re-install is a good move. Please

(a) Download the following software and save on your computer

           https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp87001-87500/sp87168.exe

(b) Go to Device Manager to uninstall Sound and reboot machine,

(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,

(d) Do another reboot.

Hope this helps.

Regards.

After a recent MS update, I couldn't use any sound. I tried to undo the update but that didn't bring the audio back at all. After some research and installing some programs (Driver Easy) to update the drivers,  I managed to recover only my headphones (audio jack) sound; but thanks to your post, all is back to normal: my speakers and my audio jack for headphones work as normal. Thanks very much for your time and help, Banhien: your link did the trick for me.

Thank you Banhein, after two days of tearing my hair out, and getting ready to throw my laptop out of the window, i found your post.
Now everything is calm again.
Thank you.
