HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ew1000 (794C0AV)

Hi HP Community,

I recently purchased a used HP Envy x360 2-in-1 laptop that features a 4-speaker setup (2 front-facing and 2 rear speakers). The system is running Windows 11 24H2, and all updates, including BIOS and drivers from HP Support Assistant, are fully up to date.

The issue I'm facing is that I'm only getting sound from the rear speakers — the front ones are silent regardless of the media or settings I use. I was told by the previous owner that this is a known issue and that downgrading to Windows 10 would restore full 4-speaker functionality.

Is there any way to get all four speakers working properly on Windows 11? I would really prefer not to downgrade. If anyone has a driver workaround, registry fix, or any HP-specific update or utility that might resolve this, I’d greatly appreciate your help!

Thanks in advance!
