Missing 3 Drivers and I have tried all the realtek drivers with no success. Vista cannot recognize the following
- Mass Storagfe Controller
- PCI Modem
- Won't even list the audio device!
This is a Vista 64 Capable Laptop in wonderful condition and I want to give it to my daughter.
I first tried windows 7 64 and it loaded the OS without any problems but the same deal on the drivers. So I tried Vista with the same driver result
Help is necessary SO AS THE SONG GOES "Help me Rhonda" Help help help me please!

Hi:
HP only provides 32 bit drivers for that platform.
There is no 32 bit audio or modem drivers from anywhere for those devices.
If you want to run windows vista on that PC, then it has to be the 32 bit version.
Then you can use these drivers for the devices you listed...
Audio:
This package contains the Conexant AC-Link Audio Driver for the listed notebook models and operating systems. This audio driver enables the audio properties for the user and also provides a user interface.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34501-35000/sp34567.exe
Modem: XP only, but the driver should work on Vista too.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32001-32500/sp32338.exe
Mass storage controller (TI card reader): This will also work for 64 bit.
This package contains the driver for the Texas Instruments PCI (TI-PCI) Cardbus (Media Card Reader) for the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems.
