When my win 11 laptop boots up, a loud buzzing sound comes from the internal speaker, and I can't stop it while the laptop is running. I also can't hear any music from the internal speaker or through headphones; all I hear is the buzzing sound. However, if I connect a Bluetooth speaker, I can hear the music. I've tried fixing the problem by changing the drivers and reinstalling the OS, but the issue persists. pls help me to fix this problem tnx!!

Hi @zaa3
Thanks for sharing the details.
A persistent loud buzzing sound from your HP 15s laptop's internal speaker could be caused by several factors, including hardware issues, driver problems, or interference. Here's how you can troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Check for External Interference
- Cause: Electronic interference from other devices could cause buzzing sounds in speakers.
- Solution: Move your laptop away from other electronic devices that might cause interference, such as phones, speakers, or routers, and see if the buzzing persists.
2. Update Audio Drivers
- Cause: Outdated or corrupted audio drivers can cause sound issues, including buzzing.
- Solution:
- Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Sound, video, and game controllers section.
- Right-click on your audio device (usually named Realtek High Definition Audio or similar) and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- Restart your laptop after the update.
3. Disable Audio Enhancements
- Cause: Audio enhancements meant to improve sound quality can sometimes cause issues, including buzzing.
- Solution:
- Right-click the sound icon in the system tray and select Sounds.
- Go to the Playback tab, select your active speaker, and click Properties.
- Go to the Enhancements tab and check the box for Disable all enhancements.
- Click Apply and OK.
4. Test in Safe Mode
- Cause: Third-party software conflicts or background processes could cause audio issues.
- Solution: Boot your laptop in Safe Mode and see if the buzzing persists. If it stops, the issue may be caused by a software conflict.
- To enter Safe Mode:
- Press Win + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
- In the Boot tab, check Safe boot and select Minimal.
- Click Apply and OK, then restart your laptop.
- To enter Safe Mode:
5. Run the Windows Audio Troubleshooter
- Cause: Windows has built-in troubleshooting tools that can detect and fix audio issues.
- Solution:
- Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Find and run the Playing Audio troubleshooter.
6. Check for Hardware Issues
- Cause: Physical damage to the speakers or internal components can cause buzzing sounds.
- Solution: If none of the software solutions work, the problem might be hardware-related. Contact HP support for further diagnosis or consider getting the laptop inspected by a technician.
7. Test with External Speakers or Headphones
- Cause: Testing with external speakers or headphones can help determine if the issue is with the internal speakers.
- Solution: Plug in a pair of headphones or external speakers. If the buzzing stops, the issue is likely with the internal speakers.
8. Check for Loose Connections or Dust
- Cause: Loose internal connections or dust accumulation can sometimes cause buzzing.
- Solution: If you're comfortable doing so, gently clean the speaker area or have a technician inspect the internal connections.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, it might be best to the unit to the service center or contact HP phone support.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
