Hello @Chemix

>I have been using this laptop Omen 16 b0014nr for a week after unboxing

If you are unsatisfied 😣 with your notebook that cost a lot of money, you should contact HP for a service repair, exchange or return. I would recommend that in this case.

Do you have any other options?
Originally It came with pre-installed Windows 11 with lots of HP tools in it which the omen community from discord said those are resource wasting bloatwares, I immediately went straight away fresh install with usb after opening without even testing sound because I wasn't aware of that issue at that time. After installation everything was fine till I heard some sound pops/crackle which is the current issue, I thought It was another windows 11 problem having with HP computers seeing that in the community said HP computers' drivers are not working correctly on Windows 11, causing issues, especially battery life and no performance benefit for using windows 11. Then I went on to downgrade to 10 to see the problem fixed but no still the problem is still there.

also I would like to how to get or get back this "high definition driver" no realtek mentioned from custom driver update. I've seen this post made me think there has to be some kind of software to do it. https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/Pops-crackling-before-and-after-sound-amp-random-sound/...

Hello @Chemix

(1) full clone your m.2 ssd to external usb3 connected drive

(2) hp cloud recovery with usb drive ( you need product number (p/n) and serial number (s/n) to get windows 11 back

See: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/HP-Stream-Purple-Paper-Weight/m...

(3) test again

I have an appointment, see you later...

Replying for your later response

I didn't get what full clone means but what I had understood is back up files to the external USB with windows 10 altogether, though I also have another m.2 storage drive attached with 1TB and the main windows instaled disk pretty much empty so I don't mind losing anything there if I have another one. Also does Cloud Recovery formats all the data from the 😧 disk if I keep it connected?

I have difficultly of understanding even it's confusing because both speaker and the comment replies were separate. The speaker said I would lose all my data files while in the comments my other storage drive other than C won't be touched, so which one is it? Does it erase everything or only on C? Another one, would I be able to format the USB drive that installed cloud recovery tool?
