I bought my laptop ( HP Spectre x360 ) in October 2022; in March 2023, the microphone stopped working. I checked the privacy settings, and also made sure the built-in microphone array was selected in the sound settings. The microphone test does not register any input from the microphone. Device Manager reports the microphone array as working normally, but it is not working in any app ( zoom, voice recorder, teams, etc. ). I installed all updates including BIOS, but this made no difference. I tried removing and reinstalling the driver, again this made no difference. I can attach a USB headset and mic and select it in settings, and that does work. But I paid a hefty price to purchase the laptop through the HP online shop, and one of the things I wanted was to be able to use it for zoom meetings, and I expected it to function for more than  five months. The HP online troubleshooting and warranty support appears to be "temporarily unavailable" whenever I attempt to use it. I took the laptop to a local repair shop, and they ran into the same dead-end that I did. Does anyone have any more suggestions ?
