Hello! I've recently received my new laptop, but I've been having trouble with the speaker on the right side. Whenever I'm watching videos or playing music over the speakers, there is a rattling noise that sounds like something is either loose or the speaker is blown.
What I've attempted:
1) AMD driver uninstaller

2) Reinstall official HP AMD driver off of the HP website

3) Tested with a tone frequency producer.120 Hz and 240 Hz are the resonant frequencies, and buzzing occurs from 600 Hz+

4) When using headphones, the noise is not present.

Specs:

Ryzen 5 4500u

8 Gb memory

Windows 10, version 10.0.19042 Build 19042

I reviewed your post and I understand that you hear a rattling noise from the right speaker.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp111001-111500/sp111273.exe

Once the BIOS is updated, then uninstall the audio driver from the device manager and then download and install the driver from the below link.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp110501-111000/sp110625.exe

Here is how it is done.

  1. Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

The issue is still present after following your instructions, and I've also done a full reinstall of Windows and this did not fix it either.
