My MAIN problem or issue is that I need to get a working sound program for recording and listening to music from the Interenet on the OLDER computer.
The newer one has Realtek and is working well (with periodic difficulties).
The older one had IDT HD Audio Codec but it developed problems trying to record and with the last attempt it said that I had "no input device". I tried to fix it but it seems to be gone forever. I was able to install M.S. HD "audio device" but, again, "no input". Going to the Sound panel, for Recording it displays Microphones and Line in but "not plugged in"
SO - can I get the Realtek onto the old computer or some other program that can record internally from the Internet?

Sorry, but I don't deal directly with audio issues -- so I will move this thread to the Audio section so folks there will see it.
