I have issues with the left speaker crackling / distorting (only laptop speakers - other sound outputs working fine). A quick look at the forums seems this is a very common driver issue.
I have the latest drivers (as installed by HP assistant 01/11/2018).
Is there any known fix for this - I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Realtek audio high defintion sst device drivers.

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand, you're having issues with speakers of your notebook,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824
(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?
When was the last time it worked without these issues?
How is the sound quality in headphones?
What is the operating system on your notebook?
Once I have the information, I'll help you with troubleshooting steps,
Keep me posted!

Hi Flower_bud, thanks for the offer of help.......this seems to be a common problem (just google 'x360 convertable left speaker crackling').......my product number is X5P15AV and the model is HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl0XX. Sound quality over blue tooth is fine, out of head phone jack is fine. Only when using the internal laptop speakers is there an issue. Having researched this a little I don't believe it's a problem with the left speaker, I'm sure it's a problem between the realtek driver, bios and the b&o setup........
