Within the last week the speakers on my laptop stopped working correctly. The ones near the front (underneath the palm rest area) work, but the ones closest to the screen do not. I haven't made any changes to the audio settings since I got the laptop, although, some software or OS update could have caused an issue.
In the Device Manager the "Speakers (High Definition Audio Device)" properties has this message in the Events tab: "Device not migrated." I don't know what that means or why anything needed migrating.
I did check and there were some Windows 10 updates done on the same day as the "Device not migrated" message was created. Perhaps they are related?
I tried updating the driver, but it told me that I already have the latest driver.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?
Thanks,
John

Hi, John:
The only suggestion I can offer would be to try reinstalling the W10 audio driver from your notebook's support page and restart the PC.
This package contains the driver that enables the IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
