My laptop has the Bang & Olufsen drivers installed, and I do not like them. So I uninstall them from device manager and control panel then install RELTEK drivers from this site. They work fine until I restart the computer where they randomly uninstall and then I have to mess around, not knowing myself what I'm doing but mostly adding legacy hardware in device manager and restarting a lot for then the Bang & Olufsen drivers to come back. even when the drivers are missing and i try installing RELTEK on the next restart Bang & Olufsen comes back. Is there anyway to permanently install RELTEK drivers?

Welcome to the HP Community --

No idea whether this is relevant to Windows 11 -- or even recent versions of Windows 10.

The method uses gpedit.msc

How to Prevent Windows from Automatically Updating Specific Drivers

Updates to HP software and drivers can come from installed driver update software.

If installed,

Open HP Support Assistant

Settings > Switch OFF the Automatic Updates.

If your system is new enough to still receive regular updates from HP, open HPSA monthly (more or less often) to manually  check for new updates.

Your business class system is eligible to use HP Image Assistant software to update, manage, and deploy updates for your system.  HPIA does not typically barge in and update drivers out from under you, of course.  If you have HPIA installed and are using its update resource, check that unwanted drivers are not included when you select your updates.

Your gpedit.msc solution does not prevent the drivers from being uninstalled just installed. Now when I install RELTEK drivers, it still does remove them and does not install anything back (i tried with entering IDs of RELTEK and B&O drivers both, and separately) so i have reverted what I did.
