Product: HP EliteBook 840 G3

Hi all!

I'm facing a problem with my HP EliteBook 840 G3: after a Windows 10 update done in November 2022 the laptop started to reproduce scratchy audio (event connecting a USB device or other system sounds) and the CPU load is at 100% for most of the uptime.

I tried installing older audio drivers, but that didn't fix the problem.
I also tried with different versions of windows (7, 10, 11), with clean installation, but I didn't notice any improvement.

With a linux distro everything works perfectly, so hardware problems are to be excluded.

 

Can someone please help me?
