HP Notebook - 15t-bs000 CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

On my laptop the right speaker is fine, but the left speaker seems to be quieter. Is there a way to change the balance? I can't find anything in the supposed manual.

@RealGomer, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Adjusting Speaker Balance on HP Notebook - 15t-bs000 CTO!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you notice that one of your laptop speakers is quieter than the other, you can usually adjust the balance settings in Windows 10. Here are the steps to adjust the speaker balance on your HP Notebook:

Open the Control Panel:

  • Press the Windows key and type "Control Panel," then select it from the search results.

Navigate to Sound Settings:

  • In the Control Panel, click on "Hardware and Sound."
  • Then click on "Sound."

Adjust the Speaker Balance:

  • In the Sound window, click on the "Playback" tab.
  • Select your speaker device (usually "Speakers/Headphones") and click on "Properties."
  • In the Properties window, go to the "Levels" tab and then click on "Balance."
  • Here, you can adjust the balance between the left and right speakers using the sliders.

Apply and Save:

  • After adjusting the sliders to balance the speaker output, click "OK" to save the changes.
  • Click "Apply" and then "OK" in the previous window to ensure all settings are applied.

This process should help you balance the sound between the left and right speakers on your HP Notebook.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
