Hi @NguyenTruong,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the silent indicator light on your HP 15s fq2716tu laptop is not turning red despite the silent feature still functioning correctly, there may be several reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem.

  • Check BIOS/UEFI settings: Some laptops have BIOS or UEFI settings that control the indicator lights. Make sure the indicator light settings are correctly configured in the BIOS/UEFI menu.
  • Update BIOS/UEFI: Visit the official HP support website and check if there are any BIOS/UEFI updates available for your laptop. Sometimes, updating the system firmware can resolve hardware-related issues.
  • Check keyboard shortcuts: On some laptops, there are keyboard shortcuts to toggle certain features, including the silent mode. Press the designated key combination to enable/disable silent mode and see if the indicator light responds.
  • Check system notifications: Sometimes, the operating system might control the indicator lights based on system notifications. Check the notification settings and make sure nothing is preventing the indicator light from functioning correctly.
  • Run hardware diagnostics: HP laptops often have built-in hardware diagnostic tools. You can access these tools during the boot process or through HP's support software. Run a hardware diagnostic to check if there are any hardware issues related to the indicator light.
  • Reset to default settings: If you have made any custom changes to your laptop's settings, try restoring them to default settings to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Check for conflicts with other software: Certain third-party software or utilities might interfere with the indicator light functionality. Try disabling or uninstalling any third-party software that might be related to system settings or notifications.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

now i have a new problem!!!!!

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

The touchpad works poorly when charging.

+Device name: HP laptop 15s fq2716tu.

+Window 11 22H2

* I bought it last Tuesday.

When I plug in the charger and use it, the touchpad behaves very strangely. Initially, it was fine, after a while, the pointer speed slowed down, less accurate. Moments later, it returned to normal. This phenomenon keeps repeating. It happens with no fixed time. I have reinstalled the driver many times but it still doesn't work. This error ends when on battery. Laptop charger has 3 pins, I used a 2-pin adapter to match my socket.I changed to a new machine, but the touchpad still fails, I WILL NEVER BUY ANY HP PRODUCT AGAIN.
