Hello Team:
I have Windows 10 operating System at my HP laptor and after that installation/updgrade from Windows 7, my sound card DOES NOT work at all. I have tried all method of installing and uninstalling but no use of it. I am posting this question to all experts of HP as HP website doesn't provide the sound card driver under Windows 10 platform only they have is Windows 7 which doesn't work.
Please help me out.
Thank you.

Hi, @Ikramonline :
Does your notebook have 4 GB of memory installed?
If it does, I know you are not going to believe this but for some crazy reason having 4 GB of memory installed on that platform causes the sound not to work.
Try this workaround for that if your notebook has 4 GB of memory...
A problem with the Conexant audio means that you may hear no sound in Windows 10 even though everything appears to be working correctly.
Microsoft suggests running msconfig.exe and heading to the Boot tab. Click the Advanced options button, check the Maximum memory box and set the value to 3072.

That is an older laptop that is going to have some problems with Windows 10. For example, do you have the video working right or is the display adapter in the device manager stuck at Microsoft Basic?
The audio is Conexant AC which again is known to be problematic in Windows 10.
Here is a Windows 10 Forum thread ont he same issue:
https://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/15284-windows-10-no-sound-solution-conexant-3.html
And here is an older HP thread with some suggestions for manually installing a Vista driver in Windows 7...the same thing will work installing a Windows 7 driver in Windows 10.
