Hello all,

I am in need of a new sound driver, I've been using realtek high definition audio driver. However this doesn't work when I'm djing as it can't split the audio between my headphones and speaker. I have tried to install this  W10 IDT audio driver https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71886.exe. Is there any other drivers I could use.

Hi:

Your notebook has the Realtek audio chip, so the IDT audio chip driver wouldn't work.

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to install the latest Realtek audio driver directly from Realtek.

Accept the agreement.  Download and install the Windows 64 bit driver and restart the PC.

Thanks for your reply I have updated the Realtek to the latest version and have had no success. Is there anyway to get rid of Realtek. Would that even be the problem I need the audio to split through a cable so it comes out a master speaker and the next song through my headphones.

You're very welcome.

You can uninstall the Realtek driver but you may end up with no sound at all.
