Hello there HP Community.

I am having a strange issue with my audio on my Laptop as if i just increase the volume to just 1 or 2 percent it is super loud as if I put it on 100 percent even though it is on 1 or 2 and even if it is on one or two percent if i were to increase the volume further the volume level just stays the same throughout. it is the same thing with decreasing the volume. the level of the volume stays the same throughout.

I understand that you are facing issues with the audio on the computer. I'd like to help!

 

Are you using external speakers?

Or is it the inbuilt speakers?

 

I recommend you run the audio troubleshooter and it will automatically find and fix the audio issues.

 

Here is how it is done.

 

  - Launch Troubleshooting by typing and clicking “Troubleshooting” in Windows search.

  - Click on "Playing Audio".

  - Follow the on-screen instructions.

 

If you continue facing the issue, then uninstall the audio driver from the device manager and then download and install it from the below link.

Here is how it is done.

 

  1. Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
