I've had an HP OMEN - 17-an188nr laptop for a couple years now. The last couple weeks I've suddenly been experiencing issues with my laptop's volume. I used to keep my volume at around 30, seems loud enough there. A few weeks ago I experience a huge sound decrease in the middle of watching a video, like the volume just disappeared. It eventually came back, but I thought it was weird. A few days later I experienced the same thing, this time the volume never came back. I uninstalled and reinstalled my Realtek audio drivers, and that seemed to fix it for a few days. Then it happened again, I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers again, but this time it is not working.
I essentially need to turn my volume all the way up to 60 to be as loud as where it used to be at 30. This means my laptop cannot get as loud as it used to either, my total volume is essentially halved. This is extremely frustrating, as I use my computer daily for gaming, video, and music related things.

Anyone have any solutions, or know why this may be happening?

Please perform a clean install Audio software/driver, this should help.
(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp104001-104500/sp104428.exe
(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.
Regards.

I uninstalled my sound driver completely, and reinstalled the Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver (Windows 10 v1909) driver found through the tool bar on this site. Nothing has been fixed doing this.
