The Sound Quality is better when you uninstall the Realtek HD audio software, follow these steps.

  1. Start Device Manager. To do this, press and hold (or right-click) the lower-left corner of the desktop, and then select Device Manager.
  2. Locate and right-click the device that has the problem driver installed, and then select Properties.
  3. In the Confirm Device Uninstall dialog box, select the Delete the driver software for this device checkbox, if it's available.

Next Step.

  1. Type “View Installed Updates” in the Search box and then click on View Installed Updates – Control Panel from the Search results.
  2. To uninstall the unwanted update, select it from the list and then click Uninstall.

To temporarily prevent the driver from being reinstalled until a new driver fix is available, a troubleshooter is available that provides a user interface to hide and show Windows updates and drivers for Windows 10.

Click Here to download the " Show and Hide Update " Troubleshooter.

Hi, thank you so much for helping and I apologize for taking long to reply back.

I uninstalled the software but I can't find the update that needs to be uninstalled in my update history. Or atleast I'm not sure what the exact update is.

Just to be more specific, my laptop doesn't technically have the "View Installed Updates". It gives me "View your Update history" whenever I type the other option. Although they may be the same thing, I'm just making sure we're completely on the same page

Thank you for the update.

We do not have the option to take the remote control and check.

I would suggest you contact our phone support and they will assist you.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Have a nice day!!

Ok. Thank you so much for the assistance. Uninstalling the software worked by the way.
