HP Recommended

Hi I am having the same problem everytime I skype someone they sound like a Dalek or Robot. This has happenened ever since i got my laptop and i have unistalled and updated skype many times and tried numerous things with the volume but nothing has worked. Is it a problem with my laptop as im still under guarantee til august.
