Sound problems HP Probook 450 G6

HP Probook 450 G6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

When I play a video or music through my notebook's speakers, the audio sounds normal for about 2 seconds then it automatically switches to what sounds like the audio being played through a tin can.  The 'background' becomes all muted and the lyrics or spoken words have a metallic timber and it sounds horrible.   The laptop itself I got back in August and I beilieve it's one of the latest models for the probook line.  I tried looking up some other help forums though the steps and methods they used didn't match up with any options or settings I could find.

Would anyone be able to help?
Thanks!

-Jared

@JKayle

Did you upgrade/downgrade your machine ? Please do a clean install Audio software/driver, this should help.

  (a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,

          https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp98501-99000/sp98885.exe

  (b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
  (c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
  (d) Reboot again.

Regards.

Sound problems HP Probook 450 G6

Hello Banhien,

I've tried these steps and unfortunately the sound still cuts out after 2-3 seconds of normal audio.

Are there any other steps I can take?

Thanks!

-Jared

I have exactly the same problem with my ProBook 450 G6.

I have tried updating the BIOS and reinstalling the audio driver, but it has not helped.
