Example: Specter x360 Convertible 15''
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

My speakers or both very scratchy and it seems to be hardware related. It used to happen in an isolated way and would fix itself either naturally or by Muting & Un-muting the audio.

So I was wondering where can I buy replacement parts to change the speakers entirely?

Thanks,

- Maxime Pinet

@Papinet

Most likely due to software/drivers but what is your Specter x360 Convertible 15'' ?  Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

Please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n).

Hi, I have tried unnistalling/installing drivers without success.

Also, to note that using headphones and external speakers everything works fine.

This is my model:

- HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl0XX

- Z4Z35UAR#ABA

So anyway to confirm it is a hardware issue, and if so, where can I buy replacement parts?

Thanks,

Your machine is an HP Spectre x360 - 15-bl012dx, its specs

      https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05385405

Please try a clean install Audio software/driver, this should help.

(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,

   https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp92501-93000/sp92780.exe

(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver (Realtek) and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.

Regards.

Hi Banhien,

As I previously mentioned, this is already soemthing I have completed with no success.

How to know it is not related to hardcare? (Audio card and/or speakers?)

Thanks,
