ProBook 430 G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I'm posting on behalf of a friend who the other day received his newly acquired HP ProBook 430 G2, which came with Windows 10 installed.

He said:

"The headphone jack doesn't appear to be working properly, it acknowledges when you plug or unplug headphones and when the headphones are plugged in the system acknowledges there's sound playing but there's no sound in the headphones, and it's definitely not the headphones themselves cause they work on my phone"

"It worked the first two times I used it then just stopped and I don't know why"

"I did update the drivers for it and restarted the computer but that didn't seem to work"

Does anyone know of a fix for this...? Any help would be much appreciated 🙂

Problem solved for now at least. He uninstalled the sound drivers, restarted the computer, and then Windows automatically reinstalled the sound drivers and the sound's working through headphones again. I'll reply to this post should the problem re-occur.
