It’s also happening on HP  840g6. I’ve sent the change above to the affected people and I will see if it works

The best solution I found for my HP users using Zoom is manually update the Realtek Audio driver. Going to Device Manager and using its tool to find update doesn't work because it doesn't find anything. All my users using HP Probook 440 G5/G6/G7 fixed the issue. The driver was from December 2019 and there is a new one for March 2020. Go to hp.com find your driver and update the Realtek Audio driver

Just downloaded and installed the new audio driver on my notebook HP Probook 430 G6  and the issue with Zoom still exists.

Note: The same Issue with the muted sound and mic, is happening not only with ZOOM application. It happens with the GoTOmeeting application as well. No issues identified with Skype so far.

I have ProBook 440 G6's in my fleet, and the steps outlined by "Bob-99" appear to work on this model as well.  Thank you.

It seems that issue is fixed with the following actions:

  1. Installation of new audio drivers from HP
  2. Go to Speakers Properties and Uncheck the  options : ALLOW HARDWARE ACCELERATION OF AUDIO WITH THIS DEVICE and ENABLE AUDIO ENHANCEMENT
  3. Go to Microfoon Properties and Uncheck the option :  ENABLE AUDIO ENHANCEMENTS.

My laptop is the Probook 430 G6
