Speakers on my hp envy x360 15-dr1xxx suddenly stopped working. Tried troubleshooting, diagnostic test but nothing happened. Following filed code showed up after the diagnostic test. All drivers are up to date

@AK2110, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Speaker Issues on HP Envy x360 15-dr1xxx!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

That failure code helps us zero in a bit. Let’s try a few things that can often bring the sound back to life:

Turn the volume all the way up and retest — make sure you can actually hear the test tone.

Double-check that your playback device is set correctly — right-click the sound icon and head into “Sound Settings.”

If you're comfortable, enter the BIOS during startup (F10 key), confirm that audio is enabled, and ensure your BIOS is up to date.

Try unplugging and reseating any external audio cables — both ends. Sometimes it’s a loose connection hiding in plain sight.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
