HP Recommended

Try shutting down the PC, then hold the power button for 30 seconds. Monitor may flash once/hp logo may appear briefly but it should shut down again. 

 

Then boot it up and see if the issue went away. It took me 2 hours with customer support to figure out that there was static electricity accumulating in the speakers and the 30 second hold somehow releases the static.
