Hi,
I recently bought a new Envy, model 15-ee0002na
I have been having this problem whereby when I use Microsoft Teams and BB Collaborate (online teaching platform), the entire sound system seems to die. It seems to happen when using these applications/platforms but has happened once when playing Starcraft 2.
All sound suddenly stops and there is a loud buzzing noise that comes out of the speakers. I can no longer control volume by pressing the volume +/- buttons. Pressing these does nothing nor does the speaker icon on the taskbar. The only way to get this sound to stop and the speakers to work is to restart the laptop. Restarts take longer than usual when this happens.
I have updated drivers, tried changing frequencies, done a fresh install, updated bios, nothing seems to work.
When I troubleshoot, it appears that there is no microphone or speakers?
I hope this is not a hardware problem.
Can someone please assist/advise?
Regards.
