Microsoft Windows 11

I have a new Spectre x360 Laptop - 16t-f100 (Product # 508R4AV) with a Bang & Olufson sound system.  I am getting very distorted sound quality thru the built-in speakers (quality is fine in Headphones).

I chatted online with HP Tech Support for over 90 minutes and we reinstalled the Realtek driver and ran every relevant hardware and software diagnostic available to no avail.  Speaker sound is still BAD,

The next step Tech Support was suggesting was reinstalling the OS which seems ridiculous to me for a brand-new machine with all software updates installed.

I suspect a hardware defect which would require taking the laptop to an HP Authorized Repair Center for diagnosis and repair.

Any thoughts or similar experiences out there?  Thx!

Figured out how to solve the issue:  turned off "Audio Enhancements" in the Speaker settings.
