The audio driver stops working when there is no sound playing, usually after about 15 seconds. It takes about a second to respond, audio doesn't play until the driver goes online again. I know, it's not a vital issue but it's still a huge annoyance. If there is a solution for it, other than playing a silent audio in the background, please let me know.

Hi Ub6424,
I found the solution for this issue.
Run --- regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e96c-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\xxxx\PowerSetting
where 'xxxx' is one of keys which contains
DriverDesc value 'Realtek High Definition Audio'.
There are three binary values, set them to:
ConservationIdleTime = ff ff ff ff
IdlePowerState = 00 00 00 00
PerformanceIdleTime = ff ff ff ff
Restart, and this issue shouldn’t occur again.
Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

There is combined hardware/operating system/driver problem that can only be fixed by HP.
Contact HP Support for service repair. A HP technican should fix it / analysis / replace motherboard / HP driver update ...
