Today I was using Skype, but my brother couldn't hear me. After searching the net I finally noticed that the internal mic was not listed in the Device manager.. Since all references to audio problems point to trouble shoot the device by finding it in the device manager I'm at a dead end. I've already reinstalled all audio drivers from HP and updated the BIOS.

Is there any way to find out, whether the internal mic might be broken or what else could I try?

Since the internal mic is not showing there is no way to configure or test the mic
