I can hear a tick sound on my laptop, kind of similar to the sound when you press your touchpad. at first i thought it's a notification sound but it does not work like that.

Hi @heralois,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
A ticking sound on an HP PC is most likely caused by a failing fan, usually due to dust buildup causing the fan blades to catch and click against the housing, or a worn-out fan motor; other potential causes include a failing hard drive, loose components within the computer, or issues with the power supply unit
Please try a BIOS restore on the Pc and let me know how it works
BIOS Restore
1) Shutdown the computer and keep the charger plugged
2) Hold down the Windows and B button together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B button until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow on-screen instructions and click on OK
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
