OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dh0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just got a brand new HP OMEN-15 laptop earlier in the week, and began configuring it and working on this this weekend, and the sound has got to be some of the worst I've ever heard on a laptop speaker. It's fine through a headset or connected to my Echo Dot, but the speaker itself  has a tinny sound. I've downloaded a third party equalizer that make it decent, but doesn't take it all the way there. I expected much, much better from B&O speakers, and I don't have this issue on the HP Elitebook 840 G5 I have at work.

The drivers are all updated and current. Is this a hardware issue? Or can this be fixed through software? And why isn't there a built in graphic equalizer installed on the system. For a gaming system such as this, I would have expected much, much better audio. The Lenovo Ideapad Y700 it's replacing had superior audio compared to this. I expected better quality.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

To get the answer to this question, B&O software is replaced with the Realtek High-Definition Audio Driver.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
