Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello.

I am trying to use a 2.4g wireless microphone on my laptop.  There is one audio jack which has the headsets picture.  When I plug in the receiver, I receive the message "you just plugged a device in the audio jack".    It does not take you to another screen,  the device is not showing anywhere and I am unable to get it to connect.  I know it works because I plugged it into another laptop and it recognized, downloaded software and works.  Unfortunately, I need to use it on the HP laptop.  Any suggestions?

I don't know what is your Envy but looks like it has headphones/mic combo jack. On many machines, this jack does NOT support standalone microphone.  But please try the following adapter

I know it works on normal microphones (wired) but for wireless I have not tested.

Regards.
