About two weeks ago the USB-C ports on my Spectre laptop stopped detecting audio devices. I had a receiver (Outlaw RR2160) plugged in through an Anker USB hub in one port and a HiDiz S8 DAC/AMP for my headphone plugged directly into the other USB-C port. Both devices were visible in the audio management tab in the Windows Action tab (lower right of screen). Both are "plug and play" devices, and do not have their own drivers. Both worked for audio output. Neither is visible to he system now, and neither works.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Realtek and Intel USB audio drivers through the Device Manager, plugging and unplugging the devices into different ports, and a BIOS update via HP's website, with repeated warm and cold reboots. Nothing has helped. I have run HP and Windows diagnostics for audio problems but these are focused on the internal speakers, the headphone jack, and the mic, not USB audio. HP does not appear to have an update for the Intel SmartSound Technology USB Audio driver on its website, and Intel seems to have one specifically for its NUC PC.
My laptop is an HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop PC 14t-ea000 CTO running Windows 11 64-bit. Other than this USB audio problem, everything seems to be working normally, including the internal speakers, headphone jack, and other USB devices, like my HDD backup drive. I am out of ideas, and would greatly appreciate any help the community could provide.
