Microsoft Windows 11

MY USB-C headphones have suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason. They have been working just fine for the last few days and there have been no updates or anything, they just stopped working in the middle of a YouTube video. I have a 13" Envy x360 and the headphones are a pair that came free with a phone.

I've tried updating drivers, restarting, checking the headphones work on another device and I've even updated the BIOS.

Occasionally they will show up in the audio panel but will almost immediately disappear again.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

 Hi@Chimer4,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP Envy Laptop USB-C headphones stop working

I have a few recommendations

  • Try with alternate USB-C ports and alternate headphones if available.
  • You can try doing System Restore if it had worked few days ago.
  • Check if Reset PC Keep my files from windows works.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
