You're very welcome.
Sorry that approach didn't work for you.
I found that answer from another discussion that went on for 2 pages.

If your notebook came from HP with W10 Pro installed, you should be able to use the HP cloud client recovery software to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Cloud Recovery Client
This package provides the Cloud Recovery Client for supported computer models using a supported operating system. This Client Utility enables users to download the Recovery Kit from the cloud.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp142501-143000/sp142993.exe
Here's an info link for how to use the utility. You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.
If your notebook came with FreeDOS, the only suggestion I can offer would be to see if this audio driver works.
Try manually installing the driver if the auto install method doesn't work.
Conexant HD Audio Driver
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp119001-119500/sp119373.exe
To manually install the driver, go to the device manager, click on the audio device needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.
Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp119373.
Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and hopefully the driver will install.

Hi:
See if this works...
Download and unzip the below file.
Conexant-NTx64-chdrt_2072_8.65.142.52_hp-drp.zip
Remember the location of the extracted directory DIR\Conexant\NTx64\chdrt_2072_8.65.142.52_hp
Open the Windows device manager and update audio device driver from the device that needs the driver.
Fix INF file you selected does not support this method of installation in Windows 10/11
See Section <Solution 3] Install the INF file through Device Manager>

Hi Paul, Thanks ,
I tried both the options but still the drivers are not getting installed.
First option - Open the Windows device manager and update audio device driver from the device that needs the driver.
" Extracted the download file and tried updating the drivers , no changes.
Second option - Tried with Intel drivers , no changes
Still no drivers install for this and the audio is not working
Not sure what to do now
Regards,
S Prabhu
