I uninstalled HP audio control panel because master volume did not work (between 1-100% was the same, only mute on 0%).
Problem was not fixed (only way to fix was with microsoft hdaudio driver instead of Realtek one, but with bad sound quality
I now want back audio panel to control audio effects (tell me if I can that with another app).
I downloaded latest Realtek audio from HP support for my model.
They have inside HP uwp (modern app) I need, but it fail to install.
From the log it seems that the modern app does not install. What can I do? Do you need the log?

Hi @LWizard666,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing issues reinstalling the HP audio control panel on your laptop. While I can't directly analyze log files, I can offer some general guidance on how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue.
- Check Compatibility: Ensure that the version of the HP audio control panel you downloaded is compatible with your laptop's model and the operating system version. Sometimes, installing an incompatible version can cause installation failures.
- Uninstall Existing Drivers: Before reinstalling, make sure that any remnants of the previous audio drivers are completely uninstalled. You can do this by going to the "Device Manager," locating your audio device, right-clicking, and selecting "Uninstall device." Choose the option to delete the driver software for the device if available.
- Use HP Support Assistant: HP often provides a tool called "HP Support Assistant," which can help you automatically identify and install the correct drivers for your system. Run this tool and check if it recommends the audio driver you need.
- Windows Update: Ensure that your operating system is up-to-date by running Windows Update. Sometimes, Microsoft releases driver updates through this service.
- Manually Install Realtek Drivers: Instead of relying on the HP support download, you might try downloading the latest Realtek audio drivers directly from the Realtek website. Install these drivers manually and see if that resolves the issue.
- Check for Windows Store Updates: If the HP UWP app is failing to install, make sure that your Windows Store app is up-to-date. Sometimes, app installation issues are resolved by updating the Windows Store.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
