Hi @RotchiePG,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To update the BIOS of your HP laptop from version F.23 to the latest applicable driver, follow these steps.

Check the Current BIOS Version

  1. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Type msinfo32 and press Enter to open the System Information window.
  3. In the System Summary section, look for the BIOS Version/Date to confirm the current BIOS version.

Download the Latest BIOS Update

  1. Go to the HP Support website.
  2. Enter your laptop's model number in the search bar and select your specific model from the list.
  3. Navigate to the Software and Drivers section.
  4. Select the BIOS category.
  5. Download the latest BIOS update available for your laptop model.

Prepare for the BIOS Update

  1. Backup Your Data: Ensure you have a backup of all important data before proceeding.
  2. Connect to Power: Make sure your laptop is connected to the power adapter during the update process.

Install the BIOS Update

  1. Locate the downloaded BIOS update file (usually an executable file with a .exe extension).
  2. Double-click the file to start the installation process.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions. The system may restart several times during the update process.

Verify the BIOS Update

  1. After the update is complete and the system restarts, press Windows + R to open the Run dialog again.
  2. Type msinfo32 and press Enter.
  3. Check the BIOS Version/Date to confirm that it has been updated to the latest version.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
