Extremely loud beeping from the left-hand side of the computer. ... The beeping is constant in pitch and volume, and the only way to stop it is by closing the program which is playing sound.

I have tried to uninstall and re-install the speaker driver but it did not work. How can I resolve this issue?

Hi @MC_Arango

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the audio issue.

Let's try these steps -

Step 1 Run Audio troubleshooter -

1) In Windows, type "Find and fix audio" into Search, or right-click the speaker icon on the taskbar and select Troubleshoot sound problems.

2) Select Find and fix audio playback problems or Find and fix audio recording problems from the Search results.

Step 2 Re-install the Audio drivers -

1) In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.

2) Double-click Sound, video and game controllers.

3) Right click on the Audio drivers and click on uninstall.

4) Restart the computer.

Also, try updating the computer -

Step 3 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 4 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

If the issue still persists, try testing the hardware -

1) Shutdown the computer.

2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.

3) Press F2 once.

4) Go to Component test.

5) From the list, run the Audio test.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi @Asmita6658

I have tried all the options you gave me but none of them work. Do you know what can I do in my case? I bought this computer 2 months ago.

Appreciate you trying the steps. This could be a hardware issue. I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
