Every time I play sound - youtube, mp3, mp4, ... - the sound decreases automatically after some time (5 seconds or so), and increases again, allthough volume remains at 100%. After I pause and push play, the sound is back at top volume for a couple of seconds, and then it decreases again. So it constantly fluctuates.
I have checked the audio-settings, but I can't seem to find a solution there.
I also tried to instal Chipset driver as recomended here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/Volume-decreases-and-increases-automatically/m-p/616902... but I get an error message

I reviewed your post and I understand that the volume is increase and decreasing automatically.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you uninstall the audio driver from device manager and then download and install it from the below link.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp105501-106000/sp105701.exe
Here is how it is done.
- Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
- Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
- On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
- When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.
NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Dear The_Fossette, thank youn very much for your help!
the volume finally came back to normal in the meantime
After trying a few time to unsinstal and re-instal the driver, the computer automatically proposed to update Realtek audio and the sound is now normal.
Best regards,
Valentine
