That was helpful, I had found another page that gave advice on how to disable device driver updates but that didn't appear to work.  The link you provide gave a much better result.

 

The one thing I initially did wrong was I applied the update the the registry before installing the drivers suggested in a previous post, this obviously then prevented the drivers being installed 🙂

 

What I did was remove the devices & drivers, then installed the drivers from the links above, then changed the registry before rebooting.

 

All seams to be OK at present.
