macOS 12.0 Monterey

I cannot control the volume of the HP M27 with my speaker icon .   It is at full volume and I do not know how to turn it down?   Does not appear to be any physical button for the speakers in the monitor.   Help?

Hi @fak1960,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing a volume control issue with your HP M27 Webcam Monitor. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

As you mentioned the monitor does not have dedicated buttons to control the audio, please try controlling the volume from your PC taskbar.

You may refer to the Manual (Page Number 9 )

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you for replying.   I have not tried it with my PC yet but the issue is with my Apple MacBook.   I can control volume if the particular app or program has a volume control showing.   But going to my taskbar volume on the mac does not control it unless I change the output to the actual laptop.   When have the HP MOnitor selected for audio output, it must disable the macbook volume control?

@fak1960,

Thank you for your response, it is not an issue with the Monitor. However, Apple does not allow you to control the volume of the external monitor as you mentioned in your previous reply. You may go ahead and try using any 3rd party application to control volume. HP does not have any volume control app for MAC OS.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
