Hi, I have this old monitor with built-in speakers, model is a HP vs17e. (It's at least 10 years old).
It's this one (Youtube link): Value Village find - HP vs17e monitor - YouTube
Here's the manual: HP VS17E SERVICE MANUAL Pdf Download | ManualsLib
I'm trying to use it with an equally old desktop. Everything works well except for the sound. I have no sound (red X next to volume)
I think it's because I need to plug in an audio cable to the back of my monitor and connect it to my desktop?
What kind of audio cable should I buy for this ? Back of my monitor has a green round female plug (no HDMI connections since it's old)
Also is there is a specific HP audio driver I need to install and if so, which one???
Everything works except for the audio. I can't find the info I'm looking for anywhere. Manual simply mentions an audio connector and audio cable but I have no idea which kind to buy!
